Oh, those many perching birds! Included under this grouping are the warblers, cardinals, mockingbirds, jays, wrens, grackles, catbirds, titmice, kingfishers, vireos, starlings, phoebes, towhees, kinglets, finches, thrashers, sparrows, kingbirds, flycatchers, orioles, and buntings to name a large handful in this grouping.

All those birds you find around the shoreline and in the sand like sandpipers, avocets, plovers, dowitcher, godwits, snipes, yellowlegs, dunlins, stilts, killdeer, willets, sanderlings, turnstones, and oystercatchers.

No real chickens here but you will find gallinules, soras, coots, and rails in this grouping.

Gulls just want to have fun! Here you will find gulls, terns, and skimmers.

Here you will find all the other groupings of birds such doves, woodpeckers, nuthatches, nighthawks, swallows, and hummingbirds.
